The Perfect Pool Day

Little Man has really become quite the water bug (YAY!), and I've been dying to take him to the pool where so many memories were made when I was a child.

This pool is the same place where I swam on the swim team (team butterfly!), became a synchronized swimmer, landed my first lifeguard job (thanks, Patti!), taught my first class of swim lessons, had my first water aerobics workout (thanks, Deb!), learned to wake at ridiculous morning hours for lap swim, and inevitably all that experience led to my career in aquatics after college. To say this pool is special is a bit of an understatement.

With an amazing little baby pool, it came as no surprise that Marcus enjoyed every second of his time in the water.
Who has time for pictures when there is all this water?!
The fountains provided a new experience...
A red solo cup was nothing short of a smashing good time...
We dreamed of future summer jobs...
And, after warming up to Mr. Frog we couldn't get enough of him...
It was the perfect pool day.

  4. Oh my goodness, that last pic is so dang sweet!!! Doesn't look like he had much competition on the frog -- were you the only ones there? :) Today would be a perfect day to be at the pool.

  6. This so reminds me of my city pool! We had a dolphin, not a sweet frog like you've got there though. Had the mushroom waterfall thing. Marcus totally looks like a little lifeguard! Love it!!
