Marcus is still a little too young to fully grasp the idea of the Easter Bunny, and all the goodness that accompanies Easter, but that didn't stop me from putting together a basket for him.
I've decided to reuse this basket each year. I love the basket, and I honestly don't have enough room or storage to get a new basket each year.
The goodies:

Like last year's basket, I included a couple of books I knew would captivate the little man - can't beat pop up Mickey Mouse and pop up tractors! I added some spring colored play dough. A festive little sip cup. Don't forget Happy Feet (we haven't tried to watch any movies, but I picked this one up for super cheap, I couldn't resist). Throw in some side walk chalk - because you can never have enough of that stuff. Plop in two carrot rockets - you know those will be fun to chuck around the house for a few minutes. A pinwheel, or two - apparently Marcus loves these things. And, the candy, which may or may not have been purchased based upon what I like…
Admittedly, most of these items came from Target's One Spot. For a brief moment I had a little Mommy guilt, as I didn't get crazy with his basket. But, then again, the Easter basket isn't really what we're celebrating.Be sure to join Sarah and link up your Easter baskets, too!

That basket is cute enough to use every year for sure! I seriously entered every single thing on this giveaway, haha. (Three links are 'broken' btw) As of right now, I can't live without the RunKeeper app on my phone. I would love to have a heart-monitor though, and am working on convincing the hubby that it would be a worthy investment.
ReplyDeleteI might or might not admit that Happy Feet is one of my fave movies ever. And looks like we both thought Reeces in a carrot shape was a good idea. But let's be real... i'll probably eat 80% of them. :)
ReplyDeleteOh and fave fitness item is a flat pavement to run on!! :)
DeleteSuper cute basket!! Lots of fun stuff for Marcus. :-)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute (and fun)! I'm all about using the same basket every year...do people really buy a new one each year? I decided last year I would just make it a tradition for Clay's Easter basket to be new swim attire for the year, books, and a small toy. My mom goes overboard on the candy (read: loads of Reese's) so I boycott buying it!
ReplyDeleteOk we need that tractor pop up book...where did you find it?! And we always used the same basket year after year. I think it's a fun tradition knowing which one is yours, kind of like a Christmas stocking!
ReplyDeletewe got the same sippy and carrot rockets! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteeaster is my favorite holiday everrrrr. love this link up!
ALSO.
ReplyDeletei am dying for that giveaway!!!!!!!!
i have been begging isaiah for a polar and shakeology. BEG.GING.
My favorite fitness item is my Garmin watch for sure!
ReplyDeleteCute basket!!! And btw... You need to look at my text. I might be revoking our BFF necklace real soon...
ReplyDeleteCute basket! I'm putting a movie and books in Mac's basket too. Love the tractor book and the sippy cup! I might need to head back to Target to find similar items because I know Mac would love them!
ReplyDeleteI think your basket is awesome!! I love the sidewalk chalk and the books you picked out! Yay for another Target win! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute basket! I haven't even begun to prepare the kids baskets. I really need to get on that. LOL
ReplyDeleteI never think my boy's baskets are that fabulous, but I don't think they need a ton of stuff in them anyway. I think M's is full of great 2 yr old stuff. No shame in your game shopping at the One Spot. I love that thing!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCute basket! I feel bad because I don't make baskets for the girls, but my dad sent a few.
ReplyDeleteAs long as there is candy for mom in there...then I'd say it is a perfect Easter basket!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!! My son's name is Marcus too:)
