With that said, there is a lot to be thankful for, so let's get to the high fives.
1) These two are hanging out with me allllll day today.
Scott had a ridiculously early morning at work, and was home by 6:00 a.m. So, we're hanging out. Maybe a trip to the beach is in our future this afternoon?
2. This week I baked some classic chocolate chips. After I pulled a fresh batch out of the oven I saw these guys dipping their hands into the cookie jar.
There was just something about this little moment that made my heart smile.
3. Yesterday Marcus and I made a trip to IKEA. I've officially fallen in love with that place, which I still haven't decided if that's good or bad. At any rate, I picked up a few items for the guest bedroom.
Speaking of guest bedroom, this weekend the walls will be painted, a few items hung on the walls, and then the room is officially ready for guests! Be on the lookout for a peek into that room next week.
4. One of my good friends and I are headed to another Paint and Sip session tomorrow night. It's been a rough week, and this is very much needed.
I'm mildly obsessed with butterflies, so this week's painting is PERFECT. Go ahead and pass me a paint brush, and a big ol' glass of Pinot.
5. The winners for the happy egg. co eggs have been drawn!
Congratulations to Becky at A Lazy Crazy Life and Tayler at Our Fairy Tale! I will be in contact with you today.
Have a great weekend!
Mace and I would be happy to break in that guest room for ya :D
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that throw pillow. I'm planning a nautical theme for our master bedroom (if we EVER finish the bathroom) and it would be perfect. We have an Ikea about an hour away - I may just have to make a trip and see if I can't find it! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovin your cookie monster pics.
ReplyDeleteAnd I assume by guest, you are speaking of me? I am going to need you to also to purchase a handle of Captain!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get that beach trip in, but all I want is to bake cookies now! =) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteLove that you get a 3 day weekend with the hubs this week! Enjoy the beach time and I hope he gets a little nap in :) Can't wait to see the guest room. Isn't Ikea addicting?! John and I are trying to plan a trip to the one in MI. It's about an hourish drive from my parents house and there are so many fun things I want! :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to bake some chocolate chip cookies right now. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm raising my hand!! So glad it's Friday..almost Saturday since I'm commenting so late. Hope you had a good day with your boys and have a good weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteThose cookie pictures are ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, Ikea! The nearest one is a little over 2h away so I've only ever been twice. But oddly enough, Aidan has been asking to go back (??) so I'm thinking we'll have to schedule a trip soon. And yay for the eggs, can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteI completely want chocolate chip cookies now!
ReplyDeleteI still have not made it to IKEA yet ... I hate that I'm missing out but I'm sure my wallet doesn't.
Paint and sip ... best idea ever!
Ikea- always a good thing. I'm overdue for a trip...but not on the weekend. Unless they start selling glasses of wine.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of Marcus and Scott with the cookies!
i love ikeaaaa!!!
