It's been quite some time since our last trip to the
California Science Center. We decided we needed to go back. This time with friends, of course.
What I love about the Science Center is that it has multiple rooms designated specifically for little ones. Everything in each room is geared towards toddlers and young children. To say each room left Marcus and Lorelei enamored seems to be a pretty accurate statement.

Fixing us lunch in the play house. |

Working intently on puzzles (along with working on the 'sharing' skill). |
|
One of the kids rooms focused on modes of transportation. My child was in his own little heaven. |
Along with the children's room there were exhibits for all ages to explore. For the adults, it was a nice little break between children's exhibits. We had a little fun, too.

Playing around with the infrared camera. |
After a full day at
the aquarium the day before, we didn't think the kids would enjoy the mini aquarium at the Science Center. Boy, were we wrong. The kids seemed to love that area the most!

Do you see what I see? |

Want to come sit with me? |
The next two photos are among my absolute favorites taken of Lorelei and Marcus. There's a feeling of wonder in them, and I'm pretty pleased I was able to capture it for both kiddos.
Discovering the world through a child's eyes is one of the most amazing things in the world. I'm pretty lucky to have seen it the way Marcus
and Lorelei do.
Don't forget to enter to win the
meal kits from
revolution foods. Today is the last day to enter (and entering is SO easy)!

That last picture needs to be framed! We have a similiar place here in Charlotte and I love going! Clay has only been once but I can't wait to take him more!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Why do haircuts always add 2 years to a child's age????
So cute! What a neat place. I'll add it to the list of things we must do when Mac and I come visit you guys. :) That last photo is amazing. And Marcus now looks like he's 5 years old. What?!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! We have the Children's Museum in Coralville that is very similar to this (minus the aquarium, jealous!). The boys loved it when I took them, excited to be able to take Tate when he's a little older! It'll be a fun day for just the two of us!
ReplyDeleteYou take the best pics!
This looks like so much fun! The little ones look so engaged! I wish we had something like that around here. Lily is in the in between stage right now at the Children's Museum...too little for the big kid stuff but too big for the toddler stuff. :/ maybe next year! Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteAll the cool things are so far away in Orlando, I wish we had just a few neat places to take Aria a little closer. I'm sure Aria will love it when we finally make it there though, I've never been myself - I hope it is as fun looking as yours!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a fun trip for the two of them. I'm awed by their fascination with the giant tank! (or maybe it looks giant with them standing there? :)
