Women's Health Week - Beautiful Tips

Today is all about beauty.

As I was pondering what I could share from my bag of tips and tricks I was coming up short. If only I knew someone who helps women keep their skin beautiful on a daily basis... Wait! I do!

I'm so excited to introduce you to my real life friend, Ashley! I absolutely love this girl. She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Not only is Ash sweet, she is an amazing mommy to two of the most adorable kids I've ever seen, her day job is basically CSI: Miami, and she is an independent Mark Kay consultant. The lady literally does it all.

Without further ado... Take it away Ash.

Hi!

I am so excited that Desiree asked me to be a part of her Women's Health Week series.  I am Ashley and I blog (occasionally... okay, rarely these days!) over at Keeping Up with the Clarks
I am a wife, a mother of 2 amazing kiddos - 10 months and 4 years. I work full time, and I recently became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I would NOT call myself the sales type, but I said yes to the opportunity because I AM passionate about two things - skin care and helping women to feel beautiful in their skin!

Desiree asked me to give you guys some beauty tips today, so here they are (in no particular order):

* Sunscreen!! Use it daily, rain or shine, sunscreen is a must!! The quickest way to age your skin is to not use sunscreen.

* Match your eye shadow to your eye color and skin tone, NOT what you're wearing. As a general rule... Blue eyes, wear browns; Green eyes, wear purples; Brown eyes, wear blues; Hazel eyes, wear browns. Of course if you're going out for a special night on the town, you can always change it up and add a pop of color.

* Primers are amazing. Foundation primer helps your foundation look flawless and stay put! Eyelash primer helps your mascara wear longer and creates longer, fuller looking lashes. Eye primer keeps your eye shadow from settling in the creases (we've all had that right?).
Source
* Get yourself into a routine of washing your face each morning AND night! Sleeping in your makeup will cause your skin to age prematurely and no one wants that!! Also, a scary fact is that the dust mites that are in your mattress (sorry, it's true) will eat your mascara... gross!! If you have a daughter get her in the routine of washing her face at an early age.

* If you're over 21 you should be using an eye cream... sorry!

*Use a foundation, it protects your skin from all of the harmful things in the environment.

Okay ladies, that's all I have for you today. Feel free to contact me any time! I love helping women find the right skin care, eye shadows colors, etc.

And, a huge thank you to Desiree for allowing me to share my passions with you guys - and for her adorable pictures of Marcus and always delicious recipes!!

I had no idea what I was going to post about today, so a million and one thanks to Ashley for sharing her awesome tips!
