Aside from a nasty cold I'm trying to shake (and hopefully haven't passed along to Marcus) it's been a pretty good week. But, as usual, I'm more than ready to get this weekend started.
Moving right along to this week's high five moments:
1. Easily the best Marcus/Mommy moment of the week was when Marcus uttered those three words I've been waiting 23 months to hear… "
I love you" (It comes out sounding kind of like "wuv you").
The first time he said it out loud I literally screamed in excitement, and then my heart instantly exploded. Best. Moment. Ever.
2. Grandma D sent Marcus a little Valentine's package last week. Inside was an Aquadoodle. This thing is GENIUS! Marcus can draw his little heart out, and there is ZERO MESS! ZERO. Beat it Crayons, it's Aquadoodle for the win in this house.
3. Speaking of Grandma D… Guess who is visiting us for the next few days?!
4. Per the norm, Grandma brought a bag of goodies upon her arrival. One of those goodies just so happened to be a little something Grandma whipped up for Marcus to wear in about a month.
5. A group of girls, my mom, and I are headed out for some fun this weekend. Wine and painting all in one. I can't wait to see how this shakes out for all of us. Because Lord knows none of us will stop with one glass of wine.

ReplyDeleteMy nephews have an aquadoodle and it really is genius. My heart will explode when Jackson says I Love You for the first time! I keep trying to get him to say it, but no luck yet. Marcus is such a sweetie. :-) Have a fun weekend with your mom.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable...it really does melt your heart when they can say "I wuv you". How cute!! I also agree that aquadoodle is the best invention EVER! They also have a compact sized one with is perfect for traveling.

This sounds like the best week ever! Clay has said something similar to love you a couple of times but doesn't say it all the time :/ We get to see my mom this weekend too and I am ECSTATIC!
ReplyDeleteHope you and your mom have a fun time at the paint and sip event. Although, I'm not sure how much sipping you'll be doing. There's a local place around me that offers a similar event, I've now gone twice and barely had time to keep up with the instructions & painting that even if I had a drink I don't see how I would've had time to sip anything except during the break...Either way, little sips or lotsa sips hope you two have fun!
