A LEGOLAND® Adventure + GIVEAWAY {4 Tickets to LEGOLAND®}

We received compensation for this post, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This year I've been trying to focus more on creating memories and doing things with the kids versus getting them things. And, to go along with that, I've been trying to find a theme park that Marcus truly enjoys.

Over the long holiday weekend we decided to hop in the car and make our first adventure to LEGOLAND® to make some new memories (and see if we couldn't get Marcus to enjoy a ride or two).
While the whole family made the trip, Julia wasn't in her finest form (a vicious cold plagued her much of the weekend), so she kicked it on the sidelines for most of the time. That said, it was fun to focus many of our activities on Marcus' likes - something we haven't been able to do as much as we'd like as of late.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen many of our thrills and fun on my stories while we were at the park.

As one would expect, the entire park was dotted with the most amazing LEGO® formations, sculptures, and displays.
The sun made it really difficult to photograph this massive Albert Einstein face. This was the best I could get, but let me be the first to say, photos don't do it justice.
Within this lion were buttons the kids could push to make "roaring" sounds.
This police officer and fire woman were hilarious. They had little speakers in them that played the funniest things.
With over 60 rides, shows, and attractions, Marcus was living his best life. Every ride on his wish list was checked off (with minimal wait times!). The LEGOLAND® water park wasn't open, it was cold! But, it's opening March 5 with bigger, wetter, faster rides. Obviously, something we'll need to go back and check out first hand.
A few of the rides were more "hands on", or kid-powered. Translation: we had to work to make our rides go. Those seemed to be at the top of Marcus' favorite list.
This particular ride was a race, and the guys had to do a pump action lever to make their police car go. They then had to jump out, grab a hose, put out a fire, and catch a bad guy. Then they had to get back into the police car and pump their way back to the finish line. Marcus and Scott were pretty proud to have won their little contest.
Marcus thought the gunny sack slide was the best thing ever. Pretty sure he could have spent our entire time doing just this.
And, I promise Julia was there, too...
There was an adorable area, Heartlake City, that I'm positive Julia would have loved, including a Duplo town. However, a majority of that area was closed for what appeared to be renovations.

Several games were sprinkled around the park, and Marcus was very persistent to play one. His game of choice, a massive Let's Go Fishing Game.
This endeavored brought us home a stuffed duck.

Scott and I were really interested in the LEGO® NINJAGO ® : Master of the 4th Dimension 4D film, but we weren't totally sure the kids would be on board, so we passed on that. Maybe during our next trip we can make that happen.

Naturally, a lunch stop had to happen.
The cheesiest of cheese pizzas kept both kids fat and happy, and an apple the size of Marcus' head to even things out a bit.

There was no way I could walk around the park all day without a few snaps of the fun façades.
One of our last stops before calling it a massively successful day was a peek in the The Big Shop. Admittedly, we're not quite on the LEGO® building train just yet, but we couldn't resist our very first kit for Marcus, as well as a Duplo set of THE cutest animals for Julia.
How freaking funny is this LEGO® mural - made of LEGOS®?!
Our day was so full of fun, we weren't quite able to slip over to SEA LIFE® aquarium, which just means we need to make another trip.

Lucky for us - and you! - right now KIDS GO FREE to LEGOLAND® Resort when you buy Honest Kids Juice 8-count at any retailer! The offer on the Honest Kids Juice includes a FREE Child Hopper Ticket with a full paid Adult Hopper Ticket admission coupon to LEGOLAND® California Resort. We'll be utilizing this, for sure. There are so many things we didn't have time to do, see, ride, and experience. Not to mention, I think Julia would really love jumping on a few more rides now that she's feeling better. AND, we are itching to get inside SEA LIFE® aquarium and check that out.

I wasn't sure how LEGOLAND® would fair with Marcus, but it was two-thumbs up, a massive grin, and a, "Can we go back sometime?" This is ground-breaking stuff for him.

  1. We picked Disney of Legoland and some certain 5 year old just won't let me live that decision down. I promised I would take him... we just need to get to Cali or Florida but I am game for either. We would love to experience it with our Lego lovin' CJ!

  2. Wow!!! I had no idea Legoland was so interactive but that's so cool you get to power your own rides for some of them. I definitely want to hit the aquarium too as I've heard it's super cool. I am also dyyyyyyyying to go to the hotel, but $$$ during Mason's bday so I may have to postpone that. So glad you guys had such a good time!
