The Picture Perfect Project

With New Year's just around the corner I've already begun thinking of things I'd like to work on for the new year. I don't necessarily want to go so far as to say I'm working on my resolutions, rather, I am challenging myself improve a few things that I've already got going on in my world.

Of those things I want to focus on are photos. Specifically, photos I take. Sure, I take about a million photos a week - mainly of my kids - but this year I really want to work on taking good, quality photos. I want to learn a little more about my 'good' camera and how to properly use it (dare I even go so far as to shoot in manual mode? *gasp*). Perhaps I'll even try to pick up a few pointers and tricks as to how to take better photos with my phone, because, you know, sometimes the 'good' camera just has to stay at home.

I'm not alone on the quest to take some great photos this coming year. A handful of my favorite blogger friends are joining in the fun as well: Beth - Our Pretty Little Girls, Whitney - Work It Mommy, Stephanie - Wife Mommy Me, Elizabeth - Chasin' Mason, and Courtney - Sweet Turtle Soup, are encouraging any and everyone to create a photo challenge and participate in The Picture Perfect Project.

The rules are pretty simple and not at all limited.

Take photos of things you love - plants, animals, kids, landscapes. Whatever peeks your interest in any particular moment, capture it! You can take a photo a day, a photo a week, one picture a month, whatever floats your boat, trips your trigger, and blows your hair back. On the second Thursday of each month in 2016 we'll link up sharing our photos for the month. Share your progresses, explain some failures, let us see what you've captured from behind the lens, and perhaps pick up a few tips and tricks from other bloggers participating!

Mark your calendar for January 14, we'd love for you to join along!
