The Quad

Evenings are often a challenge for us. The day is winding down, we're usually tired from one sort of activity or another, and there is usually and hour or two before bath/bed time where were are looking for things to keep us occupied and happy.

Lucky for Marcus and me Grandpa D was often up for evening quad rides!
He was *seriously* enjoying himself.
Don't let Marcus' serious little face fool you. He knew which button to push to make the quad "go" (it was really the button to put the quad into 4-wheel drive), and every time we took Marcus off he wanted right back on.
Pushing "the" button to make the quad "go."
Not only were the rides a great way to keep Marcus entertained, it was also fun watching Marcus and my dad spend some time together.
Even Mommy got in on the fun.
With all these new, fun, and exciting things being offered in the Midwest I'm not sure what we're going to do when we get back to California!

  1. Marcus looks like such a big boy riding that quad!!

My dad takes my brother's kids on Gator rides.....not sure who likes it more, the kids or my dad!!! He tells Mace alllll the time about how the next time he comes to Grandpa's he's going on a Gator ride. Which will either be really fun or a total meltdown :)))

  2. FUN! Love his smiles like he's on the ride of his life. :) And yeah for helmets.... it drives me CRAY CRAY seeing toddlers on these things (and little kids on bikes) without them! UGH!

  3. I so love to see the pictures of Marcus and your dad. They are so sweet and bring such a smile to my face. Tim's dad passed away shortly before we were married and my father died when our 1st was very little and I always wonder what they would have thought of the kids. You can also tell that Marcus is a very smart little guy....he is very observant. :)

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures!

  4. That looks like so much fun for him! I remember my Uncle giving us rides in the Idaho country side on his motorcycle when we were younger.

  5. Oh you can definitely tell he enjoys those rides! Can you believe a country girl like me has never been on a quad before? I wouldn't even have a clue how to start one!

  6. Oh my little man is the same way. He knows how to turn the key and push the button to start the 4 wheeler. He just hasn't figured out how to put it into gear, thank goodness!
