Being apart is not something new for Scott and me. While we dated, and through part of our engagement Scott had to spend some time working a half a country away. He spent five months on the East Coast while I plugged away in Kansas City. During that time we saw each other every month or two. I thought those five months were the longest of my life.
Fast forward to our time in Iowa without Scott, and those three weeks were by far longer than the five months. Life and time move so much differently when there's a little one around.
To say I was happy to be reunited would be the biggest understatement of the year.
As soon as Scott landed in the Midwest we were off to a fabulous wedding reception to celebrate our friends getting hitched (hi Chris and Dani!!!). It was the perfect way to spend some quality time together before resuming with our daily responsibilities.
Scott, I just want to say what an amazing father and husband you are. Your drive and determination never cease to amaze me. Marcus and I cannot ever thank you enough for all the wonderful things you provide for our little family. We missed you terribly while we were away, and hope we don't have to spend that much time apart again! We love you!!!
