All Aboard

Trains are becoming increasingly more popular in our house. It's basically inevitable with little boys. Between all the cars, the tracks, the lights at crossings, and the horn, it's the stuff little boys dream of.

While we were visiting Kansas City my sister-in-law (she is always coming up with amazingly fun things to do with the kiddos) suggested we check out a small train that we could all ride. There was no hesitation to jump aboard this adventure.

That leads me right to Friday's Five:

1. The Northern Kansas City Railroad.
It's a small little railroad that restores miniature trains, and operated solely by volunteers. Though small, it's perfect for the little ones. Oh, and the fee to ride the train (which circles the large track twice)? Only FIFTY CENTS!
2. Cousins.
Watching them interact together was so much fun. Most of the time they didn't really play with each other, rather, they played NEXT to each other. I foresee them being the best of buddies as they get older.
3. This bell.
The boys were allowed to ring this bell. As many times as they wanted. Enough said. (My ears might still be ringing.)
4. The train!
The actual RIDING of the train was obviously the highlight for all.
5. Grandparents.
We are so fortunate to have such amazing family. There is no such thing as too many pictures taken with Grandma and Grandpa, especially if it's pictures while riding a miniature train.
Have a great weekend!

  1. Amen to the picture thing - I wish I had more pics of me and my Gma. And I realized I didn't have many pics of my parents outside of Xmas so am making more of an effort to get some of those these days.

I'm so excited I get to go thru all the toddler excitement again - trains, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Curious George, TRACTORS!! :) Can't wait!
