Happy Marcus Monday!

We spent our holiday weekend grilling dogs, Marcus experienced his first fireworks show, and we loved our time outdoors.
During the fireworks display I wanted to capture every memory and moment on camera, but then I thought better of it. I set down my camera and decided to enjoy just being with my little man.

Marcus snuggled into me, we wrapped up in our blanket, and I was able to simply soak up his little "oooohhs," and "aaaahhhs," as each colorful firework boomed and burst into the inky night sky.  It was perfect.

We hope you had a great 4th, too!

Happy Monday!

  1. Isn't it the best to watch them watch the fireworks?? I was afraid that Clay would be scared of the noise but he was so fascinated!

  2. You guys are just too cute! We did the same thing. I left the camera in the car and we just snuggled. I didn't even watch the fireworks, just watched Mac's expression instead and his eyes light up every time another one went off. Did Marcus just love them?

  6. That's so great! Yes, the photo's are great to help you remember, but sometimes you just need to say 'no more' and just be part of the fun!

  10. I am glad Marcus liked the fireworks! Hannah loved every second of it while Meeghan had to hide in the car.

  11. Love your Merica shirt! I did the same thing with Myles. I saw everyone with their cameras out and I just didn't want that. They are way cooler without the camera in front of you anyway! Sometimes the memory is better without the pictures anyway :)

  12. I did the same! I took a few pics and then handed off the camera to Chris so Aria and I could enjoy the fireworks, but then he took up the cameraman role so it worked out doubly =) Your shirts are the cutest, loving the merica one ha
