Calling All Shoe Lovers!

Holy geez, anyone else glad it's Friday?

Let's just cut right to the reason we're here… Friday's high fives.

1. Blogging buddy, Sally, was seriously looking out for me yesterday. She shot me an email letting me know Ebates was offering *9%* cash back off Pumas. AND, if you enter the code BESTBUDS at Puma check out your ENTIRE purchase is HALF OFF - oh, AND FREE SHIPPING! *Naturally* I needed to get Marcus a new pair (or two) of Pumas.
Marcus doesn't have a pair of red shoes (he has a maroon pair, that's not red), oh the humanity! So, I had to fix that, stat. And, the white pair lights up; Marcus' mind is about to be blown.
2. I was browsing through recently uploaded photos and came across two that I wasn't aware even existed, and I kind of fell in love with them.
This was from Thanksgiving. Marcus' eyes are so wide open and blue, I could stare into them all day long - if only he'd sit still to let me do just that.
Look how sweet and innocent he looks.
A few nights ago our neighbors invited us to make gingerbread houses. Marcus was entertained with the idea for all of 3 seconds. Then he was tearing through their house, all hopped up on the candy he kept swiping from our gingerbread decorations.

Ninety percent of the time I'm behind the camera, so seeing photos of my little man and me makes my heart smile (even if I'm still in my workout clothes and have clearly just come in from a run - see above photo for proof).

3. My mother-in-law surprised me with an early Christmas present. She signed me up for the Kansas City Hospital Hill Half Marathon in June. Not only am I beginning to plan my month long trip back home for the summer, I'm SO pumped to finally meet some of my favorite bloggers (Amie, Allison, Marcia, maybe Mateya and Tessa, too?!)! GAHHH, I'm SO EXCITED!!

4. My Christmas shopping is done. D.O.N.E. Done. While my wrapping this year isn't as fun as I'd like I've come to terms with the lack of creativity under our tree. Marcus has taken a serious interest in man-handling the gifts. So, there is really no point to cute bows and such. Not to mention, we made the smartest decision ever. Most of our gifts have been shipped back home so we don't have to travel with them. Why have we not done this every year??

5. Grandma Dudding is in town - YAY!!!! It's always so nice to have an extra pair of hands to help with Marcus. Marcus will be showered in Grandma's love and attention while we're enjoying some much needed adult time (read: adult time translates to an open bar and free wine). It's a win/win for everyone. (Side note: Since Grandma has been in town he's been saying, "mimi." We're beginning to think this is his way of saying Grandma.)
This is from Grandma's last trip to see us. Look how long Marcus' hair was! Why didn't anyone tell me he looked like a shaggy monkey?!
Have a great weekend!

  6. Beautiful picture of you and Marcus. Isn't it the best finding pics you didn't know you had? I equate it to reaching into a pair of jeans and pulling out money you weren't expecting to find. Adorable. Have a great weekend!
