To the update.
I haven't weighed or measured Julia since last month, but I'd say she's finally broken into the 20 pound range. And, height wise, very likely around 31-ish inches. Julia's holding steady with 12 teeth.
Vowel heavy words continue to be added to the vocabulary. As of late we've been hearing a lot of "pretty" due to Christmas lights. And we're not in short supply of "ooohs" and "ahhhs" because of said lights.
The dance moves, attitude, and sass keep us entertained and on our toes. When my head finally lands on the pillow each night I give thanks for such a spunky little thing. Life certainly is busy with this one, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Cheers to 16 months!

Other mentionable moments:
I decided just a week after Julia turned 15 months that it was time to cut out the nursing. The first few days were kind of rough, but by day three things were pretty smooth sailing. Occasionally I miss that time between us (like right before bed), and it saddens me to think that was my only time to nourish a baby exclusively. But, in all honesty, it's been so nice to finally have my body back.

I love her wardrobe and the expressions she has on her face! You can just tell how spunky and fun she is :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little lady. She also has the best clothes. Good job mama ;).
ReplyDeleteI am just slayed by the second picture where Julia is clasping her hands- she looks so prim and proper! I feel you on the bittersweet feelings of ending nursing BUT having complete control over your own body is a real luxury (and moms are probably the only people who understand that as being a luxury. Aside from strippers I suppose lol) Did that cross the line? :P
ReplyDeleteSo darn cute.
ReplyDelete5am?! What do you do all morning?! And gosh, she just gets cuter. Those folded hands together kill me!
ReplyDeleteShe's too cute! These little ones are getting too big too fast!
ReplyDeleteShe is just pure sweetness!!
ReplyDeleteThis pictures are her to a T! That little furrowed brow just KILLS me. I'm so glad I got to see it in person, first hand this weekend! She's a feisty little one, but boy are you guys going to have your hands full when she's a teenager. Scott better get ready!
ReplyDeleteThe cutest gal I ever did see. Happy 16 months sweet Julia!
