The 2014 Easter Basket & So Much More! {{Giveaway!!}}

Last year Sarah put together an Easter Basket Blog Hop and I was so glad when I saw she was hosting the hop again this year.

Marcus is still a little too young to fully grasp the idea of the Easter Bunny, and all the goodness that accompanies Easter, but that didn't stop me from putting together a basket for him.
I've decided to reuse this basket each year. I love the basket, and I honestly don't have enough room or storage to get a new basket each year.
 The goodies:
Like last year's basket, I included a couple of books I knew would captivate the little man - can't beat pop up Mickey Mouse and pop up tractors! I added some spring colored play dough. A festive little sip cup. Don't forget Happy Feet (we haven't tried to watch any movies, but I picked this one up for super cheap, I couldn't resist). Throw in some side walk chalk - because you can never have enough of that stuff. Plop in two carrot rockets - you know those will be fun to chuck around the house for a few minutes. A pinwheel, or two - apparently Marcus loves these things. And, the candy, which may or may not have been purchased based upon what I like…
Admittedly, most of these items came from Target's One Spot. For a brief moment I had a little Mommy guilt, as I didn't get crazy with his basket. But, then again, the Easter basket isn't really what we're celebrating.

Be sure to join Sarah and link up your Easter baskets, too!

Also, I just wanted to remind you of the fabulous Get Fit Giveaway.

  1. That basket is cute enough to use every year for sure! I seriously entered every single thing on this giveaway, haha. (Three links are 'broken' btw) As of right now, I can't live without the RunKeeper app on my phone. I would love to have a heart-monitor though, and am working on convincing the hubby that it would be a worthy investment.

  2. I might or might not admit that Happy Feet is one of my fave movies ever. And looks like we both thought Reeces in a carrot shape was a good idea. But let's be real... i'll probably eat 80% of them. :)

  4. Super cute (and fun)! I'm all about using the same basket every year...do people really buy a new one each year? I decided last year I would just make it a tradition for Clay's Easter basket to be new swim attire for the year, books, and a small toy. My mom goes overboard on the candy (read: loads of Reese's) so I boycott buying it!

  5. Ok we need that tractor pop up book...where did you find it?! And we always used the same basket year after year. I think it's a fun tradition knowing which one is yours, kind of like a Christmas stocking!

  13. I never think my boy's baskets are that fabulous, but I don't think they need a ton of stuff in them anyway. I think M's is full of great 2 yr old stuff. No shame in your game shopping at the One Spot. I love that thing!!! :)

  15. As long as there is candy for mom in there...then I'd say it is a perfect Easter basket!
